This mascara is good because it's very dark and it'll make your eyes pop. However, I do agree that it doesn't curl or give volume to your lashes but it gives length. The wand this comes with has bristles that are too far apart and that may be the reason it doesn't give that voluminous look. This is the only mascara that I use but instead of using its wand, I opt for the L'Oreal Voluminous wand.

Honestly I don't know why I ever bother to buy any other "high-end" mascaras. This is the best mascara ever!! I love blackest black and black brown right now.
World's most overrated mascara. The brush it way to big and is impossible to coat each individual lash, so it will coat four or five at a time. It does lengthen and darken pretty well, but thickens with a clumpy mess. It also does hold curl, but I'd recommend the curved brush version instead.

One of the worst mascaras I've ever used, and definitely the most overrated. Far too wet, just clumps your lashes together. And basically does nothing except make them black... no lengthening, thickening, or curling. Hate it!
I purchased this on sale as a buy one/get one free. I had never used it but several people I knew did so I thought I'd give it a try. It made my lashes appear to be very full and long after I separated the clumps, however, the waterproof formula was so intensely "fumy" my eyes wouldn't stop burning. I thought it might subside as the product dried but it didn't. It was very irritating and almost impossible to remove. I wasn't wearing contacts at the time but I can only imagine how intolerable it would be if I had been as I am now. If your eyes aren't sensitive at all, it'll work well for you since it's the closest thing I've seen to a permanent mascara and rock-bottom cheap! I never used the free companion tube in the regular , non-waterproof formula after my initial bad experience, I just gave it away.

I bought this buy one get one free, so it was $2 per tube. It's really good for the price. It's no good for on-the-go people, the formula is liquid eyeliner-esque and dries pretty slowly. However, I liked the curved brush on this and when I had a lot of time for it to dry and separate my lashes, it looked great.

I know this mascara has received many not-so-great reviews, but I like it a lot! The consistency is not thick, so it doesn't clump on me. Brownish-black is perfect color. Doesn't burn my eyes or flake off & get in my contacts.

The pink and green tube. Everyone raves about this, but I find it to not be my favorite. Once I found my PX, this just doesn’t compare. Nice cheap drugstore mascara. The performance is average, IMO. I suggest using a different mascara brush with this and combing through to help keep it from clumping. Also make sure to wipe the brush before application, to remove any extra mascara. It also suggests to NOT let it dry between coats.

I was actually going to try this again. I used to use it consistently when I was younger. It was the best at that time. You could build marvelously long and thick lashes with it (it took several coats, but don't they all?). I became allergic to all eye makeup for a while and didn't use anything for 20 years. Now I find that there are many new things that I can use, but mascara I have to be careful with. I've tried several kinds so far, but haven't found one that I like yet.
I have to be in the I hate this category. I actually have never truly hated everything about a mascara except this one. I had the waterproof version but by the end of the day I have smears all under my eyes, like the mascara had never dried on my lashes the entire day. Plus when I put it on, it was just there. Clumped some, but thats all it did.

I did rebuy this product a couple of years ago and then never used it. It is OK, no more no less. Quite serviceable if there weren't mascaras I like much better. Rimmel's Volum'Eyes is a much better product for the money.

always seem to win the polls and things of that nature. I think
it is cheap and worth what you spend on it-which is not very much.
This mascara was mediocre. There was nothing really great about my lashes after I applied it. I didn't my lashes get thicker or longer. Overall this is product that I would not repurchase.
Wow, finally I can voice my opinion on this overrated product! For years, I've never been able to figure out why this mascara became the darling of the cosmetics world or why makeup artists all started recommending it. NOT a good mascara. It did not thicken or lengthen my lashes, it dried out quickly, and didn't build/layer well. I didn't pay much for it, but it was still too much for this pointless product.

This product receives so many negative reviews, but I have to disagree with all those who don't like this mascara! I have tried them all in my quest for long, thick lashes and have ended my search with Great Lash. There are lots of good mascaras out there, but this is the one that met my requirements: Thickens, lengthens, doesn't smudge or make my lashes stiff and makes my eyes really stand out. It's easy to find, relatively inexpensive and easy to remove. Believe me, I have stocked up!
I tried this mascara once and only used it for a few days then threw it out -- this mascara takes a while to dry, and since my eyes are deep set, as soon as I blinked I would get black mascara all over my face! Maybe this would work for other people but not for me!
